Embracing serendipity

What do we gain embracing the accidental – well, nothing is accidental to start with.

When researching:

1. It is important to read nearly everything, or as much as you can find on your subject. But reading on your subject is NOT where you can find all you need.
2. Recall your own personal experiences.
3. And read other materials – a handful of other books, magazines, news, Google searches, etc. from many other different areas.

They apparently and at a first glance, have nothing to do with your research, with what you are writing about, BUT

4. Your mind becomes primed to see connections between everything, and you find them in the most unusual places.
5. By reading all sorts of different materials, NEW ideas and insights will come up – and you can start combining ideas in new ways, forging a new path forward. It is all a process to an end – a creative process.
6. Explore what you are curious about, and also what you know – and LET it lead you to what you don’t know.
7. Here´s some additional techniques you can use:
   1. As a reader, read at least one book mentioned in the bibliography, or cited in every book you read;
   2. Remember the Classics – they were useful then and now – that is why they are called Classics. In classical philosophy and classic literature you will find many useful ideas you can bring to your current creative combinations.
   3. In conscientiology, you can enrol for the PAE – Programme of Acceleration of your Erudition (only available in Portuguese so far)
   4. You can also enrol for an Imagery Test (yearly) – evolution starts beyond your comfort zone.
   5. You can use is the Cosmogram technique

Each and all will send you on a journey down the rabbit hole.
